Introducing Twelve kitchen by Poliform
Twelve is for those who prefer a kitchen distinguished by very thin thickness for a lightness effect.
The Twelve kitchen, designed by Carlo Colombo in collaboration with Poliform’s R&D team, is built around a philosophy of minimalism, lightness, and essential geometry.
This model emphasizes minimal horizontal thicknesses and maximum surface widths — large flat planes with restrained detailing. There is no visible handle — door openings are done via recessed grooves or voids (a handle-free aesthetic).
The forms tend toward geometric solids: cabinets, islands, counters are treated as volumes, creating a modular “building block” approach to space.
Twelve specifications
One of this kitchen’s signature features is the extremely thin doors and worktops. The concealed groove openings (in lieu of handles) still allow smooth access to cabinets and drawers.

MATERIALS, FINISHES & CUSTOMIZATION
Twelve is offered in a wide range of finishes and materials, which allows designers and clients to adapt it to different styles and environments. It is highly customized in terms of colour, material combinations, configuration, and proportions.
Possible finish materials include:
- Glass (frosted, glossy)
- Lacquer (matte or glossy)
- Laminate
- Wood
- Steel and metallic surfaces
The Twelve kitchen can be configured with islands, worktops, storage walls, and integrated appliances, depending on the available space and user needs. Despite the thinness and minimal aesthetic, the design is intended to preserve usability, storage capacity, and organization.
