The Butterfly range by Cattelan Italia is a collection of sculptural tables characterised by smooth curves and a strong architectural impact drawn from the elegance of nature. The special steel base acts as the highlight, uniting flowing lines with sharp edges to produce a shape that appears both dynamic and thoughtfully balanced. The collection can be had with a glass top or in the form of Butterfly Keramik, which has a marble-effect ceramic surface, and it also features the Butterfly Console with its uniquely shaped glass top and softly rounded sides.
Why it works in the room
Butterfly is made for use in interior spaces where the table is meant to act as a central visual element. The transparent glass surface shows off the complete shape of the sculptural base, producing a striking contrast between the glass’s apparent fragility and the strength of the steel frame.
