Lip Sideboard by Cierre
The Lip Sideboard designed by Cierre is a sculptural storage item characterised by its generous proportions, rounded contours and a special interaction between geometric shapes. Its solid overall shape brings together a thick lacquered base with rounded supporting arches, producing a strong contrast between curved lines and the square drawers. A marble feature on the top provides a more refined material touch, and it is the combination of circles and straight edges that gives the design its individuality. The end result is a sideboard which balances its visual weight with careful attention to detail.
Why it works in the room
Lip is especially suitable for use in interior spaces where storage furniture is intended to help with the overall design of the room. Because of its large capacity it has a considerable presence, while the rounded edges make its substantial size appear less harsh. There is visual appeal from various angles due to the contrast between the square drawers, the circular marble top and the curved base, which is why it can be used in dining rooms, living areas and large entrance halls.
For Cyprus interiors
In Cyprus the Lip Sideboard is suitable for modern apartments, villas and for residential or hospitality interiors that have been professionally designed. The fact that it has lacquered surfaces together with marble details makes it appropriate for rooms which include natural stone, timber floors and well-coordinated finishes. When positioned against a feature wall in either a living or a dining area it provides useful storage as well as acting as a striking architectural feature that improves the overall space.
