Mondrian Sofa by Poliform
The Poliform Mondrian Sofa fuses minimalist design with a graphic, architectural style; its sophisticated metal feet support a simple, straight structure which seems almost to float above the floor, giving the sofa a light and modern appearance. Since it is available in two seat depths, four armrest sizes and with the possibility of having wooden backrests, shelves and coffee tables incorporated, the Mondrian can be set up as a full living system rather than just being a sofa.
Why it works in the room
When planning the living area, Mondrian provides a good deal of freedom, enabling the seating, surfaces and storage items to be incorporated into a unified design. By offering varying seat depths and armrest sizes you can adjust both comfort and proportions, and the built-in shelves and tables mean that there is less need for extra standalone furniture. The fact that the structure is raised also contributes to a feeling of openness in relation to larger layouts, which helps make even large arrangements seem carefully balanced.
For Cyprus interiors
Mondrian is especially well suited to the interior design of open-plan living areas, since the furniture can be used to arrange the space without disrupting the clean architectural lines. In larger setups it is possible to establish a well-defined lounge in a villa or in a large house, whereas smaller arrangements are appropriate for modern apartments. The use of upholstery together with wood and metal also provides a good opportunity for coordinating the sofa with the materials and finishes employed in the rest of the interior.
