Sophie Chair by Poliform
The Sophie Chair from Poliform gives a new interpretation to a traditional type of seating by means of ample proportions and gentle, enclosing lines. A solid wooden frame is balanced by a thick upholstered seat, thus producing a thoughtful contrast between volume and lightness. The chair is available with or without armrests and can be covered in either fabric or leather, so that it can be used in various dining settings and to match different interior styles.
Why it works in the room
Sophie has a more prominent presence when sitting at the dining table, which makes her especially appropriate for rooms in which the chairs play a significant role in the overall composition. The curved seat gives a welcoming look and the visible wooden frame helps to keep the design visually balanced. Also, the available choices of armrests and upholstery allow you to set up the dining area in a more relaxed or more formal way.
For Cyprus interiors
Sophie is an excellent option when it comes to dining areas in Cyprus where comfort and a friendly atmosphere are important. The piece’s more substantial proportions are especially suitable for large dining rooms, and since it combines wood with upholstery it can match a wide range of materials and colour schemes. It is appropriate for contemporary villas, private dining rooms and hospitality environments in which guests are asked to sit comfortably for longer periods.
