Storm Desk by Cattelan Italia
The contemporary workspace known as The Storm Desk by Cattelan Italia is the result of Andrea Lucatello’s design, which combines expressive geometry with compact proportions to produce a highly distinctive appearance. The sculptural triangular base supports a curved steel top, featuring flowing lines and carefully balanced angles that give the design a dynamic and harmonious appearance. There is an integrated projecting groove which offers a convenient area for small accessories, and a leather writing pad, available in a range of refined colours, adds a comfortable feel and a sophisticated finishing touch.
Why it works in the room
Storm provides an elegant solution instead of traditional desks and is therefore especially appropriate for use in home offices, reading nooks and smaller work areas. There is visual appeal in the way the angular base contrasts with the curved top, achieved without the need for too much ornamentation, so that the desk serves at the same time as a practical working surface and as a piece of sculptural furniture. The built-in groove for accessories helps to keep everyday items in order, and the leather pad gives a comfortable surface on which to write and work.
For Cyprus interiors
Storm provides a stylish solution for incorporating a workspace into rooms in which both space and visual balance are important. Because of its small size, the desk is suitable for modern apartments, private bedrooms, and the quiet corners found in bigger villas, and the sculptural steel frame gives it an architectural touch. The available range of leather colours enables the desk to match with present furnishings and interior schemes, so that a comfortable place to work is created which seems naturally part of the house.
