Orpheus Dining Table by Tacchini
The Orpheus Dining Table by Tacchini, designed by Lorenzo Bini, expresses the expressive style of the American artist Cy Twombly in the form of a piece of contemporary furniture. Drawing inspiration from Twombly’s famous 1979 painting Orpheus, the table has a marble surface which is based on a section of that original work. Five legs supporting the table, made from slightly offset strips of the same marble, reflect the fluidity and irregularity of the artist’s abstract lines. The outcome is a unique composition that combines artistic inspiration, the use of the same material and architectural design.
Why it works in the room
Orpheus is especially suitable for dining areas in which the furniture is intended to be the main feature; the expressive marble top and sculptural base give a sense of visual appeal, and the use of a single material gives the design a unified appearance. The uneven placement of the legs adds a dynamic and individual character, so that the table is well suited to contemporary dining rooms, statement interiors, and hospitality environments that combine art with functionality.
For Cyprus interiors
In Cyprus the Orpheus Dining Table is suitable for modern apartments, large villas and residential or hospitality interiors that have been professionally designed. Since it is made of marble, it goes well with rooms that include natural stone, simple upholstery and thoughtfully chosen architectural finishes. Whether it is situated in a large dining area or in an elegant hospitality environment it can act as a striking focal point by combining the characteristics of contemporary art with the lasting attraction of natural materials.
