Tee Console by Cattelan Italia
The Tee Console, designed by Paolo Cattelan for Cattelan Italia, shows off a minimalist style in which the form is determined by the material itself. It is made up of just two steel sheets, each carefully shaped, and its simple geometry together with the gently rounded corners achieves a particular balance between structural simplicity and modern elegance. Both the top and the base have a brushed finish which is artisanal, with fine, hand-applied markings that give the metallic surface a subtle texture and depth.
Why it works in the room
Tee shows how a simple design can establish a strong visual identity by means of proportion, material, and craftsmanship. The clean and simple structure offers a practical surface without including any unnecessary decorative details, which makes it especially suitable for use in entrances, hallways and modern living rooms. Since it is available in a range of sizes, two or more consoles can be placed together at different heights to produce a layered arrangement that adds a sense of movement yet still retains the design’s minimalist features.
For Cyprus interiors
Tee provides a simple method of incorporating metallic texture and modern design into the interiors of Cyprus homes. The small, architectural shape is especially suitable for use in modern apartments, entrance halls and corridors since it is important to maintain a clean and uncluttered look. The hand-brushed finish gives a sense of visual interest without requiring a great deal of decoration, so that the console can match well with natural stone, polished surfaces and neutral interior schemes. When dealing with larger villas or those that have been professionally designed, using different sizes together can result in a special arrangement which has both an artistic and a practical feel.
