Diapason Console by Cattelan Italia
The Cattelan Italia product known as the Diapason Console is a design that brings together Italian craftsmanship with the natural beauty of marble and glass. It was first launched in 1986 and is among the brand’s most longstanding designs, showing a timelessly appealing approach which still seems appropriate in modern-day interiors. The sculptural marble base is fully visible through the transparent glass cover, so that the material, its veining and the architectural shape become the main characteristics of the item.
Why it works in the room
The effect of Diapason is achieved by contrasting the visual solidity of marble with the transparency of glass; instead of hiding the supporting structure, the glass top displays the sculptural base so that it can be viewed from various angles. Because of this, the console is especially suitable for use in an entrance hall or a living room where it can serve at the same time as a practical surface and as a striking design element.
For Cyprus interiors
Diapason provides an elegant solution for incorporating natural stone into the interior design of Cyprus without losing the feeling of openness. The transparent top prevents the piece from appearing heavy, whereas the marble base contributes texture, character, and a sense of durability. Because of the way it combines a classic material with a modern shape, it is suitable for use in established homes, contemporary villas and refined entrance or reception areas.
